IMO, Hamilton is being pretty stupid showing the league all their blitz packages in pre season game 1

Here’s a few of my observations from the game:

Liked the offense under Arbuckle. He is ready to take the team’s reins in week 1

The starting o-line also looked strong. However, they have to figure out who plays where and stick with them. One thing that has been established IMO is that Doxtater shouldn’t play tackle. He will get beat too much by quick outside rushers.

Really liked Miyan Williams. Watched him play at Ohio State and showed tonight that he’s gonna be tough to keep off the roster.

Also liked Tucker Horn and Lawrence Johnson in their pro debuts. Hooks and Demus are worth keeping around also for a further look. Slywka and Herslow are gonna be tough to cut

Tucker Horn is an impressive young QB talent - sharp & smart with a strong arm.

The Argos sure have some impressive Canadian LB talent: Judge the starter for sure but behind him the likes of Varga, Casssar, Kwamou (made a bunch of plays) and ex-Junior ball star Smith; much as a like Darkangelo as a nice LB - can tackle/hit, good motor, not sure they could keep him around with the Canadian LB talent as good or better, and McManis the sure fire starter.

Didn't watch the entire game, but did either of Ojo or Hergott get in at DE ?

Dankwah should get a real shot to play OT, IMO

On TV it is difficult to really gauge how well players perform. But that said, here are my impressions of the game:
. Hood (DB), Johnson (DB) and Kwamou (LB) made some impressive plays.
. There are a number of talented receivers on the team. Herslow, Anderson, Slywka and Mayala all looked good.
. Coxie had a night to forget but he has the talent and will look a lot better when the season starts.
. Will Slywka play offense or defense? He looked good in both roles. Could he be the teams FS?
. Horn (QB) showed well. Sharp passes and quick decision making.
. The OL looked very good. The team just has to figure out who lines up where.
. The DL did not look very good. Losing Cox didn't help. The DL looks like a work in progress.

I realize I did not comment on Williams (RB). He was very impressive. The only question is how does the team fit him into the lineup?

I was there, umm, umm, don't ask me for any opinions because most of it is a blur (maybe I watched two minutes of the 2nd half -- alcohol is somtimes required to get through it)

Bryan Cox, unfortunately, appeared to suffer what might be a major injury before the game.

I think that they may have to find a place for him. I heard that Kevin brown is injured so who knows what his availability will be for next week. There is always “cash and Carey” and he ought to be ready next week. With the quality and size in the o-line, having a power back could really help take the pressure off of the passing game

Bovine his usual self - over throwing and under throwing open receivers.
They played him well into the 3rd -- wanted to get him a TD drive, I guess -- but he certainly didn't look anything special.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Carey 6 gamed to start the season so they can get a better look at Williams.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Carey 6-gamed all season long like Muamba in 23. An expensive voice of experience in the room-slash-insurance policy. We would be fools not to put Chop Williams onto the active roster. He looks like possibly a generational talent.

This offence — this QB, this line, these skill players — looks like one of the finest ever assembled in the CFL. This defence - not so much. I guess we win a lot of high-scoring games this year.
