I saw the Calgary Hamilton game. While Calgary obviously really wanted to win, Hamilton looked indifferent at times.

On the Hamilton side, Mitchell did not look great, missing badly on some of his passes.

More to the point, on the Calgary side, Ormilade was a menace the whole game....how come we didn't see that when the Argos played Hamilton last year? If the Argos defence had trouble keeping Alexander in the pocket, and they did, how are they going to fare against Vernon Adams who frequently escaped pressure including blitzes.

The next game is going to be another tough one unless both lines play much better.

Let’s remember that this won’t be the last O-line to get embarrassed by the powerful Montreal D this year.

Montreal beat up the Argos pretty early last season too. Argos came back to win there in the regular season and playoffs. It’s only week 1. Argos really had issues picking up the blitz. I think that is where Carey will really be missed. Gotta get the young backs up to speed there

The last Argos RB who was smallish yet good at picking up the Blitz was Brandon Whittaker. He was fearless.

Yes, he was a fantastic pass protector

Ben Grant tweeted today that McMahon was excellent in pass protection in Montreal.

I saw that. Maybe Chop was having problems. He also said that Nicastro was their top o-lineman and that Hunter was not far behind. I think the procedure penalties are what really hurt the team. Without Kelly, and to some degree even with him, playing behind the sticks is not a good situation

They were 1st and 15 way too much that night. They could never really get into a good rhythm as a result.
