The press release mentions that there has been a change to the process. I suspect it would cover such a contingency as what occurred in this case.

Oh, lookie here, the all-Canadian coach and management team are only starting 7 Canadians. GOB myopic “thinking” at it’s finest.

They lucked out last year in having a very good Canadian corner in Ford, plus Oliveira starting at RB. And they lost a starting National O-lineman in free agency this off-season.

And GOB is not determined by birth certificate (IMO) - Walters & co. know the drill there - assume & favor American players. They could have drafted a top safety prospect to compete there instead of handing the job to an inexperienced American; they also could have had another Canadian compete to replace Ford; or a Canadian - like their top draft pick - playing W-OLB over the average at best Wilson getting handed the job; or a top young O-lineman ready to compete for the departed starter instead of handing it to a rookie American. They do what it easiest and what the system tells them is best (IMO). Sorry if this notion offends you.

And since they may go with starting the minimum number of Canadians this season, surely that means (to your types) they will be so much better and roll to a GC win ? - even though they got to the GC last year starting 9 Canadians mostly.

Of course - cause you aren't capable of a rational discussion on the topic with knowledge of and respect for Canadian football talent.

And this is rational discussion?.

“And GOB is not determined by birth certificate (IMO) - Walters & co. know the drill there - assume & favor American players.”

The drill? Now I know you have lost all sorts of sensibility. Similar to a couple of years ago when you said they would face ridicule for their peers (paraphrasing) if they played more than the minimum 7. Just plain ridiculous

Ok; so let me guess (what you have been told/sold/believe); there is absolutely no bias or favortism what-so-ever from the majority of CFL American decision makers towards Canadian talent; when they have roster needs at any position - QB, tailback, corners & D-halfs. MLB, S-OLB - they will always consider Canadians getting to compete at those positions for TC, and never do any pencilling-in of Americans only ???
And this is because the GMs and coaches "just want to win", and have no room for bias or prejudice in their "thinking" - never happen - just like there was never any bias from NFL big-wigs towards black/African American QBs ?

Is that how it works? - you know, just rationally ?
