Maybe the league is talking a shot at the NBA. They invented load management

I'm pretty sure it means healthy scratch. The league has now acknowledged that teams sometimes place uninjured players on the one-game. Because they're on the IL, they need to be accounted for on the injury report.
Re: 2025 Argonauts Roster
They basically acknowledged it last year too, but referred to these players as healthy scratches, which I think is a better term. Load management in a sport that plays once a week is ridiculouspaulwoods13 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 4:53 pm I'm pretty sure it means healthy scratch. Basically load management is resting a player for precautionary reasons. The stress on an athlete's body can be managed by periods of rest. At least that is the theory

The return of Brown must mean that McMahon is out for a bit? Glad he was available, he's a solid back who runs hard and can catch.
Re: 2025 Argonauts Roster
I have no idea why Brown didn't get a better look in the first place. I may be wrong here, but I don't think Williams has the quickness needed to be a dominant CFL back. I would have kept at least one of the proven vets until he showed otherwise, but doubtful either would have accepted a PR spot. In any event, I am glad they were able to bring Brown back.

I echo your sentiments Angelo, the Argos left themselves very inexperienced at this position coming out of camp.AngeloV wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 5:15 pm I have no idea why Brown didn't get a better look in the first place. Hopefully Brown is motivated to prove that he should be the starting RB.
