I may be wrong here, but I don't think Williams has the quickness needed to be a dominant CFL back. I would have kept at least one of the proven vets until he showed otherwise, but doubtful either would have accepted a PR spot. In any event, I am glad they were able to bring Brown back.
I thought the team had McMahon in the perfect role the past 2 seasons. Is he a feature Back?

I think he is best suited as a complimentary change of pace running back not necessarily a feature RB.

CFL.ca transactions has Rookie DL Da'Marcus Johnson coming off the PR to the Active Roster. I anticipate this move is to replace an injured Christmas. This would leave the team thin in the middle as Johnson only weighs 255lbs.

Further: DL Atlias Bell, a guy who has shown great determination, has also made the active roster along with RB Kevin Brown.

Not surprisingly, Kenneth George Jr. has been placed on the 6-game injured list after taking a dirty low block from the Riders' Duncan-Busby.

Mentioned him here, a few weeks back i think it was; now they should also track down former Ticat draft pick DT Mo Diallo.

OL Hampton Ergle and LB Stephen Smith have both been transferred back to the practice roster.

I guess this could mean the return of either Harelimana or Cassar (hopefully both) for this week and the return of one of Giffen or Doxtater where Hunter would move back to RT. Perhaps if Dinwiddie`s comments about Vandal are to be taken in context, then maybe both Giffen and Doxtater would be inserted into the lineup and Vandal moved to the bench.

On a side note, I wonder how Ergle graded out against the Riders. I know that Shane Ray tried to give him a hard time verbally but only managed to get 1 tackle and no sacks.

Call me crazy, but I think Dinwiddie’s comments were more towards Nicastro. He after all did lose his starter’s job to start the season and with Ciraco starting would have been moved back to guard in all likelihood. There has to have been a reason he fell out of favour
