It is stupid beyond belief that they allowed their second-highest paid player to ride a scooter through downtown traffic to get to practice. It’s like the whole organization is just going through the motions these days.
How could they have stopped him?
Have you never heard of professional teams requiring their players to avoid risky behaviour? Are they too cheap to supply Ubers for the team’s second-most valuable asset?
What if the Uber was involved in a serious accident?
Bottom line it sucks but accidents unfortunately happen.

That’s just ridiculous. Pedestrians get hit crossing the street. Should the players not be allowed to walk on the street too?
I’m willing to bet (maybe with Shawn Lemon) more people get injured in a car daily than on a scooter.

Yeah, maybe we should let them take a hang glider to practice since so few people get hurt hang gliding. Comparative risk, anyone?

When was the last year/time the Argos had ideal practice facility? Old CNE stadium, in the 80s? Where they did not require traveling to a practice facility.
The mid-1970s, before Ex Stadium was ruined on behalf of the Blue Jays. Until baseball season ended, Argos had to do most of their practising at a nearby public field.

Imagine the marketing possibilities looking up into the sky seeing a hang glider with the boat logo cruising into Lamport Stadium for practice, I like it Rich!

Second-most-expensive, yes. Second-most-valuable is debatable. I'd rank both McManis and Coxie higher, especially when cost is factored into the equation. (Not to argue your point about how ridiculous this whole situation is. It does seem we are getting a lot of payback from the football gods this year for the joys of 2017, '22 and '24.)

This has nothing to do with that. Whether they practiced at BMO or Lamport, he still would have been taking his scooter. A lot of Argos do, or ride bikes in to the facilities. At least the ones that rent downtown do.
After games, sometimes my nephew and I hang around for autographs and to meet the players. Hunter often drives home with his family while many of the Argos secondary speed off in their little scooters. Funny to see, however it is an efficient means to deal with Toronto traffic. I would also bet that some of these amazing athletes don’t even have a drivers license. It’s the new generation remember you oldies (myself included).

Keep piling up the ridiculous statements there Rich.
