Kelly did not practice today. Arbuckle gets the start. The good thing is that Arbuckle historically plays well versus Winnipeg. And those are the next 2 games. I hope it is just soreness from extended practice yesterday. Kelly's last 2 seasons have been unfortunate to say the least. The one season he played he was MOP and the team went 16-2. I hope the scouting staff are working overtime to replenish this team with good NFL cuts and Canadian talent so that 2026 will get back to dominance.

What is especially frustrating is that Chad Kelly is the franchise player for this team and who marketing efforts should be built around. Over the past almost year and a half, he has only been able to play in 8 regular season games (plus 2 playoff games). I have no doubt that he will soon return to the lineup and hopefully, after getting re-acclimated, he can return to form but this has definitely been a challenging two seasons since that glorious 2023 regular season.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 5:09 pm Kelly did not practice today. I could be wrong, but I don't think the Bombers have ever defeated the Argos when Arbuckle has started and this goes back to his first go with the team in 2021. Let's hope this trend continues.

This is true, but should be noted he did not start last year's home game. Dukes played the first quarter and Arbuckle came in to start the 2nd. I don't think 16 points will cut it this time though. I haven't been very confident most games this year, but I think the Argos will win this one.IssuesMcgee wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 12:42 am I could be wrong, but I don't think the Bombers have ever defeated the Argos when Arbuckle has started and this goes back to his first go with the team in 2021. According to John Hodge, Richards got starter reps at LG and Bosse got starter reps at RT. Doxtater is listed on the injury report as questionable.

Richards had a bunch of starts for the EE last season at OG, and when they had a very strong run game at times.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 4:10 pm According to John Hodge, Richards got starter reps at LG and Bosse got starter reps at RT. Bosse is a huge and experienced OT from U Sports ball.

I’ve always thought that Richards is stronger at guard than at tackle. His lack of a quick first step was really exposed at tackle. Hopefully Doxtater can go for continuity sake though.OV Argo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 8:49 pmRichards had a bunch of starts for the EE last season at OG, and when they had a very strong run game at times.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 4:10 pm According to John Hodge, Richards got starter reps at LG and Bosse got starter reps at RT. If Doxtater cannot play, I believe we will have (the dreaded) six o-linemen for the first time in a long time.
