All the Argos have is a passing game. No running game, no defence, no special teams, no discipline, no ownership that cares. How a 16-2 team from 2023 and a championship team from just last year has been so dismantled is beyond frustrating. Today was a dark day for this franchise.
You said it Ravi ! RD was so outstanding as an Argo HC, but now this = he needs to re-examine his entire coaching staff, IMO
New owners that give a damn = good luck on that one. What a gong show.
I saw the game on tape. One has to admit that the Argos are finding interesting ways to loose.
There were some decent performances on offence. but as usual, you can do 99 things right, and its the bad things (like a fumble turnover, stupid penalties, poor special teams play at times, etc) that cause a loss.
And yes the refs were bad, mostly at the Argos expense.
The Argos are not getting any respect from anyone, including the league and perhaps their own ownership group. The proposed schedule for next year is a joke. I suppose the silver lining is that the home fans won't have to suffer live through some of these losses (unless of course the team improves).
Ben Grant noted that the Argos have two games left against BC and if they win those they still have a chance to make the playoffs. It will be interesting to see what happens.

It’s time to start giving some practice roster players a look in game action. I have been so disappointed with Derek Parish this season. Get Brevan Allen and Ojo some reps. Greg Marshall is way past his expiry date as a coach too. Coaches 80’s style with very little rotation.
I doubt Coxie will be good to go next game, so let’s see what Dorian Anderson can do.
Regarding last night’s game, dumb penalties were once again a problem. But the red zone offence is what really cost them. 1-5 compared to the Elks 2-4. I thought Kemp was a huge improvement on what we have seen from George Moore. Dozier seemed to fit in well, but only having 1 back up DB cost them as Slywka had to move to corner in the 4th for and injured Eduard with Blackburn moving to Safety.

The season may be over but this team continues to fight to the end of every game. It’s almost spooky how things have turned against them this year, but there is no quit in these guys, and nobody should expect to see any.
They’re gonna have their biggest home crowd of the season next week, and if the breaks finally fall their way they can finally win a game and maybe break this apparent curse. They won’t make the playoffs but they can still make life difficult for other teams, and at the same time solidify some positions for a total team rebound in 2026.

I said the same thing to my son last night, at this point get some of the younger players in the lineup including the young QB’s to truly get a read on what potential they have heading into 2026.
I see a pretty substantial overhaul in the lineup and possibly the coaching staff this coming off season.
Hopefully this season isn’t an indication of a long term decline in the on field product but with Rogers at the helm it is a possibility.

Funny thing is, they are only 4 points out of the playoffs and have the tie breaker on all 3 teams they are battling. You just never know.
I'm not putting this loss entirely on Arbuckle because the defense and special teams have been atrocious.
But Arbuckle right now reminds me of Jake Maier as Calgary's starter. We can all keep citing his passing yards until we are blue in the face, but Arbuckle clearly cannot close the deal and gives up the ball at the most crucial times, over and over again.
I get this can happen two, maybe even three times in a span of 10 games, but we are talking about the same crucial point in every single game.
If the rest of the season truly doesn't matter, then why not see what Tucker Horn is capable of?
