It looks like the TSN panel was incorrect in saying last night was the most attended Argos regular season game since 2018.

Last season on October 19, the Argos drew 20,487 vs Ottawa.

Edit: They also drew a crowd of 19,327 on August 22nd of last year against the Riders.

Arbuckle had a great game. But when is Chad Kelly returning? Does he even attend the games?

From what I have seen on social media, the Argos are an anomaly as they count how many people went through the turnstiles rather than tickets sold as the official attendance. TSN was going by the reports that more than 20k tickets had been sold.

It's also worth mentioning that this is not the first time the Argos have scored 50÷ points since 1997 (as reported by TSN). This may be the most points scored since the 66 they hung on Winnipeg in 1997 but they scored 50 in Regina and 51 vs. Montreal in 2001.

I suspect that Kelly will return after the Argos' bye week following the Labour Day game. He attends all home games, including yesterday's.

I heard they sold around 22,000 tickets, the most for a RS game since MLSE bought the club. If true, that means about 4,000 people paid for tickets but didn't attend, which would be both bizarre and a bit disturbing. I don't know how much it costs to get into the Ex, but surely it's less than the cheapest Argo ticket?

When Coxie gets back, who sits to keep Herslow in the lineup? Would have to be either Casey or Darkangelo, I assume. The latter didn't see much (if any) action on defence yesterday, I don't think, but was active on specials. The former subbed in frequently on defence in passing situations. I don't think we will see Edouard or Blackburn starting on D in the near future; Hood seemed solid yesterday and I think Dozier has been pretty good although I haven't watched him closely.

We might also need a second RB, since McMahon got banged up again. Hopefully Williams will be ready to return for Labour Day.

Just checked An adult CNE ticket - well, for today - is $33.88 (including HST). Not sure what the cheapest Argo ticket was yesterday, but I am pretty sure that there have been years where an Argo ticket was cheaper.

NFL roster cuts are on Tuesday.

At NFL Trade Rumors it was reported that Zac Jackson of The Athletic wrote:
On the “wrong side” of the bubble, Jackson lists …..DT Ralph Holley…..

I think the Argos could really use him on the defensive line.

But he still looked like he was walking a little gingerly on the leg yesterday. I’d be surprised if he’s ready by Sept 13.
