No margin for error now
With Ottawa somehow managing to lose to Winnipeg and a QB who passed for 54 yards for the entire game, the Argos likely have to run the table to make the playoffs now. I doubt 8-10 would do the trick. This reminds me of 2014 when the Argos, after being ravaged by injuries to their receiving corps, started 3-8 on the season before rallying to an 8-10 record, but it was too little, too late.

How did Ottawa come back and beat the Argos again? That game along with the 2nd half collapse in Montreal and the winnable game in Edmonton are 3 games that really could haunt the feisty 2025 Argonauts.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 6:41 pm With Ottawa somehow managing to lose to Winnipeg and a QB who passed for 54 yards for the entire game, the Argos likely have to run the table to make the playoffs now. I think the loss in Winnipeg trumps all of those. 2 TD’s against on ST’s and one on D.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 8:35 pmHow did Ottawa come back and beat the Argos again? Re: No margin for error now
Running the table means winning in B.C., against Hamilton, in Calgary and in Saskatchewan. The schedule couldn't possibly be harder. If they manage to win a game that starts at 10 p.m. (something they seldom do even with a veteran QB), they might have a chance. But a loss on Friday would be a dagger.
I personally think 8-10 will be enough to stay level with Wpg, which has even more problems at QB than we do.

Winnipeg has home games left against Hamilton, SSK, and Montreal. Their away game is against Edmonton. Their record is 7 and 7, and they are tied with BC.
BC has home games against the Argos, Calgary, and Edmonton, and an away game against SSK. If Rourke continues playing well, it is likely they will win at least 3 of those games.
The Argos are 5 and 9 so the Argos have to win 2 games and Winnipeg and BC loose 2 games for them to be tied going into the last 2 weeks.
The way this season has gone for all the teams makes it pretty hard to predict what the final standings will look like. I think you are right. It will depend on how Winnipeg does the rest of the season that will determine if the Argos make the playoffs.

All Ottawa had to do was not beat themselves but they managed to do that in spectacular fashion.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Sun Sep 21, 2025 7:51 pmBut Chris Streveler completed 3 passes yesterday Paul.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 21, 2025 7:57 am Running the table means winning in B.C., against Hamilton, in Calgary and in Saskatchewan. 1) The "best kicker in all of football" sucks.
2) Dru Brown continues to struggle when pressured. I don't think his read progression is very good. Take the first one away and he struggles. I would say 90% of his INT's are due to this and then panic throws off his back foot.
