Comparison of ownerships:
Next year the Argos will play 3 "home games" in opposition stadiums---a money grabbing move by MLSE and a slap in the face to Argo fans. However, B.C. will play home games when ousted from BC Place, in other cities in the province. That may cost the owner some money but will introduce new fans to the team.
No matter how MLSE spins this, it truly demonstrates how little they care for the team or its fans!
if I heard correctly... BC setting up temp stadiums... if ARGOs could have done at one of the universities... could experiment with fan party zones... even standing sections to watch game... this is far better than playing home games on the road... plus we could go to the games...

This season is likely over, and MLSE have put an anchor around the team for next season. They are going to make serious CFL money playing home games in Winnipeg, Saskatchewan and Hamilton. Let's see how much of that they give back to the team to make them better.

That's all she wrote, what a frustrating season. This game was barely watchable because of all the penalties. Would have been nice to get at least one major off of those 3 INTs in the first half. Oh well. At least hockey season is starting soon. So what needs to happen now for us to sneak in? Bombers losing out and us winning out?

What can you say?

The defence played fairly well overall, but when the Argos turned the ball over in the last couple of minutes, and they needed a stop to have a chance again, the defence could not get a stop.

At least Brown put in a couple of good runs on check downs for a change.

Onward and downward.

As AngeloV pointed out first on Twitter, Arbuckle couldn't throw the ball more than 10 yards tonight because of his calf injury and the inability to push off that injured leg. He put in a gutsy effort - and I doubt Doege could have been more productive - but the Argos are now 2-8 in games decided in the final three minutes this season. If only they could have had a healthy Arbuckle tonight and a healthy Chad Kelly for much of this season. The defence is finally starting to come together now but Arbuckle's injury suddenly hampers the offence.

The o-line had a rough night also, especially after Kemp's injury in the first half. John Bosse took six penalties tonight.

Yeah BC really humiliated the Argos tonight. First, they announced a solution to the World Cup scheduling issue that has them playing the missed home games in their own Province, then they effectively ruin the Argos chances at making the playoffs.

It wasn't until last game where I fully realized how good we had it from 2021 to 2024.

One thing I am optimistic about is that the Argos have all the tools in place to be contenders next year. I don't think they will spend the next five years lost in mediocrity, which is how they operated in the 2010's.

On TSN tonight, the panel talked about how having a star QB makes all the difference in this league. Montreal was mostly terrible without Davis Alexander but was a much different team tonight.

The same goes for the Argos. If Chad Kelly had played the entire season, the Argos are a legitimate Grey Cup contender, regardless of any other challenges they have had. Even if Arbuckle had been healthy last week and this week, the Argos would likely be 7-8 instead of 5-10. The gap between first and worst in this league isn't that large.

Though not mathematical eliminated, I have put this frustrating season to bed. Yet another gutsy effort by a team that hasn't given up. Offseason priority number 1 is Offensive Line, not an easy unit to improve. Hopefully with the owners getting 3 large gates next year, the team won't get gutted by jettisoning players who are due for raises.

Anyone else noticed Suitor, who for the 2nd week in a row is trying to portray Polk as a problem child?

Clearly the Argos are not making the playoffs -- they would need to win three straight and have either B.C. lose three straight or Winnipeg lose three of its last four. Not gonna happen.

My preference would be to use these last three games to give some playing time to Horn and Duggan, but I don't see that happening for at least two weeks. Toronto will still be mathematically alive next wknd, which means we will see either Arbuckle (who deserves credit for playing when he likely shouldn't have) or Doege. Unless, that is, the enigma that is Chad Kelly's "season" takes an unexpected turn -- the way this year has gone, anything is possible, I suppose.
