In 1974, Saskatchewan traveled to Toronto for a pre season game with large roster etc. Think about that. Today Argos play Hamilton twice, a 50 km bus trip. Not really 25 km from Guelph. The finances of the league were better 50 years ago on a relative basis.

There was also no full interlocking schedule at the time, which means that Saskatchewan would have only played in Toronto in alternating years.
