Trying to stage a coup against Pinball (if that's what happened) would be a very dumb move. Good luck to him -- IMO it's very foolish for one person to try to be both head coach and GM (and OC, I suppose).

O'Shea is obviously a possibility but don't sleep on Orlondo Steinauer.
Why on earth would Steinauer return to coaching after leading his current team to such great heights as an executive?

I could see Steinauer and O'Shea teaming up together here. It would be great to see them together with the Argos once again. Hamilton fans would be apoplectic.

A coup against Pinball? Not wise in Toronto. Pinball is all time Argo royalty. Has never lost a Grey Cup game he has been a part of...Player, Coach, Executive. Is there another person on Earth that can say that? Would love for him to bring back O'Shea and Steinauer.

While you're at it Pinball, bring Flutie back too in some capacity. Get the 96/97 crew back together and climb the mountain again.

A list of possible candidates to be the Argos next HC.
Some make sense and many others wouldn’t excite me at all.

Mike Miller, O'Shea, Steinauer, Marc Mueller are the ones that standout to me.

As important a consideration is who the new head coach would appoint to his staff. I would imagine that Dinwiddie would try to take some, if not all of his staff to Ottawa. Appointing Miller to be the HC could allow for the retention of at least some of the staff. Any of the three other candidates would likely bring in their own staff. With the death of Ted Goveia in Hamilton, I can't believe that the Cats would allow Steinauer to leave. O'Shea is my preferred candidate due to his ties with Pnball and his tremendous success in Winnipeg.

In an ideal world, the Argos would bring in both Steinhauer as GM and O'Shea as HC and finally appoint Pinball as president. Then again with Rogers as owners, I can't see that happening anytime soon..

IMO the quality of the Argonauts coaching staff has declined over the last couple of years, onto the next chapter.
Looking forward to seeing the Argos next HC hire and coaching staff.

Yep not sure what went on this year.
Maybe there was a power struggle between RD and management. The weird stuff with Kelly returning\not returning was too much. And he definitely called out players a fair bit this year. So maybe he was losing the room.
One thing I know is that there is a select few that have done the GM\HC job well. A lot more have eventually flamed out.
If it's for the $$ I don't know how Ottawa can do it. Dice is still under contract next year and Burke has a GM's contract. ???

big shock here, but...
Remember when Argos chose Dinwiddie as their HC and we all said What? Really? no HC experience, what are they thinking?
It has been a great ride, thank you RD. We wish you the best on Ottawa.
As always I have trust in Argo mgmt. to once again find a Diamond in the Rough.
Supportive and Optimistic. GO ARGOS!
