WTF ? - how is this even possible? - oh wait, it's the brainiacs at MLSE in charge.

60 plus years of Argo fandom down the drain.
Jonestown. At least we can buy Kool-Aid at BMO again. Oh Yeah!
Purple ?

If that moron/clown is hired anywhere near the Argo staff (outside of maybe water-boy), that's it for me = I'm out as an Argo fan (of 60 plus years) - only so much ignorant, boring stupidity I can take from even my favorite sports team.

The quality of football just got better in Ottawa. Don't cancel your season tickets there just yet. RD sounds like he wants to give Adeboboye more carries.

O'Shea is Winnipegs all time most win headcoach.
I'm not so sure they let him walk.
I hope Mike wants to come home.
O’Shea would be at the top of my list but I’ll believe it when I see it.

He should be at the top of everyone’s list. He’s the best coach in the CFL and that’s not even debatable. He’s an All-Time Argo, and he’s not currently under contract for the first time in 12 years.

This is the kind of deal that Pelley knows he needs to close, even if it is just small potatoes for him.

This team needs a fresh take after the disastrous 2025 season. O’Shea’s experience and player- friendly style could very well ignite both Chad Kelly and the Argo defence, not to mention the running game. (Would he come with free-agent Oliviera too?)

No need to sell me on this one Rich, I agree.
The big question is whether O’Shea is ready to move on from Winnipeg.

I'm sure Pelley has a great guy from PGA Europe he can bring in.

If I can word this as politely as possible, it seems to me that Pelley is one of those people who is not very good at what he does and doesn't realize it.

There are at least three pro teams in Toronto right now with glaring culture issues.

IMO there are two priorities:

1. Find and sign a new head coach

2. Make it as difficult as possible for Ottawa to wreak any further damage

Dinwiddie has made clear that he intends to poach some of the Argo coaches and players. He even went so far (on Candid Frank) as saying something along the lines of "If I can't get Sweeter in here," obviously a reference to his intention to add Kris Sweet to his coaching staff. Whether or not we want Sweet or any assistant coach to come back next year, it's imperative that we give the next head coach as many options as possible. And IMO it's equally imperative that we make life difficult for Dinwiddie and the Redblacks, who are competing in the same division as us.

If I were Pelley/Pinball, I'd be sending a letter to the Redblacks, copied to the league office, stating clearly that while we are not pursuing recourse for the (presumably offhand) Sweet comment, we will not tolerate anything resembling tampering with Argo personnel. And advise all of our assistant coaches that while they are undoubtedly wondering about job security, and potentially wondering about the possibility of being hired by Ottawa, they are employees of the Toronto Argonauts until their contracts expire, and accordingly they are forbidden to engage in discussions with other organizations about potential employment until and unless the Argonauts grant permission or their contracts expire. Obviously if the next coach doesn't want to hire some of them, they can be released from this restriction before their contracts expire. But for now, we need to keep all of our options open, and give Dinwiddie/Ottawa as few options as possible when it comes to further raiding our organization.

Makes sense, Dinwiddie is no longer a friend or ally and will undoubtedly try and poach some of the current Argo coaching staff.
This will accomplish two things for Ottawa, strengthen their coaching staff and potentially weaken a division opponent.
At times Dinwiddie seems to run his mouth and say a little too much, a shot across the bow may not hurt at this time.
