Grey Cup 2025 Chat - Alouettes vs. Roughriders

Post by Scooter McCray »

Whose going to Winterpeg?
I'm not. I have never traveled to a Grey Cup. Attended in Toronto in 1989, 1992, 2007, 2012.
The 100th in 2012 being the most enjoyable watching Argos win at home.
1989 may well be the best football game I have ever witnessed live. 4 lead changes in the 4th quarter, with Saskatchewan walk off FG to win it.

Housekeeping?
Is the greatest fanbase on Earth (I mean that) watching this years game?
I think it could be a classic. These teams match up well with each other.

Of course. I have the Als winning because they're peaking at the right time.

Haven't seen the usual style injury / practice reports leading up to the big game. I guess depth charts will be up today.

Als might be in trouble on the D-Line, with Oakman gone and if M. Johnson can't go as well. P-O Lestage would be a big loss on their O-line as well. Riders without good receiver talent in Johnson & Robustelli, but they have good depth there.

Saturday Coverage on TSN is pretty good / Extensive. They had Replay's on of Grey cups most of the week. Hope we don't end up on Sportsnet down the road. ...

Its funny seeing the fans behind in all Jerseys of teams across the league ... The grey cup really is something different... a special event.

Lookin forward to the big game tomorrow... Go ARGOS !!!!

Maas with the same old CFL offensive thinker play call in that situation - a back-up QB plunge right into the teeth of the D ... and presto - a fumble and game over. Very sad.

So instead of celebrating an outstanding play by a Canadian who pushed his blocker into the ball carrier which caused a fumble that essentially clinched the Grey Cup for his team, your issue is a play that CFL teams have run for decades with a high degree of success?

Amazing.
