Re: 2026 schedule
Looking at the schedule closely, 6-6 after 12 games looks extremely daunting, if not downright unlikely. Obviously, we don't know which free agents will move around the league this offseason, which new players Toronto and others will recruit, and what injuries will occur, and we know that in this league it's possible to go quickly from bottom to top. But our first 12 games include these ones on the road:
Mtl
Ott
Ssk
Cal
Wpg
Ham
BC
Edm
Ssk
Ham (Labour Day)
We'd need to win four of those, plus home games against Cal and Ham, to be 6-6. Ott and Edm should be beatable, based on this year's rosters, but every other team was in the playoffs, three of those games are against the Grey Cup combatants and two of them are in Hamilton, which is always a challenge to win in. IMO 6-6 is an absolute best-case scenario, and I would not bet on that happening at this point.

Re: 2026 schedule
Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg are all winnable games. 2 home games are a must.
IF Kelly is playing healthy, normal self than strategy from one year ago is in place without any roster changes.....
Offence outscores, overcomes defensive weakness. Argos without Kelly were in every game they played this year.
With roster changes....we already have one dlineman back they can quickly become elite again.

Make Clemons President!!!

I agree. If Miller can help bring Chad back close to his MOP form — and there are plenty of reasons to believe he can — then I think the Argos go no worse than 8-4 in the first 12, road games or no road games.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 12:13 pm Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg are all winnable games. 2 home games are a must.

Re: 2026 schedule
Ben Grant said it best last season “This team can lose by a FG to anyone!” There is work to do to turn those into wins, however it’s true that they are right there. What team really scares anyone? Maybe B.C. Even the GC Champs are so beatable. They’ll make some more moves and I fully believe they will contend for the East IF they stay healthy. Kelly/Polk/Herslow could be killer. Both those guys get open so often, they only need an arm to get it there. Speaking of Polk, did anyone watch him closely since his return? I did. Most guys suck when they return from the NFL, mostly because they aren’t in it. Not the case with Polk. The way he aggressively fought for every yard, took huge hits and was visibly frustrated how the ball couldn’t get to him (many reasons why) was telling. He’s our MOP next year with Rocket-man slinging it, bank on it. Can’t wait.
Re: 2026 schedule
As good as Arbuckle was, there was only one game in which he led a 4th quarter comeback for a victory - the Labour Day game. He gave the Argos a chance to win most games, but I truly believe that Kelly is more proficient at finishing games. Kelly definitely has good rapport with Polk.ArgoZ wrote: ↑Mon Dec 15, 2025 9:04 pm Ben Grant said it best last season “This team can lose by a FG to anyone!” There is work to do to turn those into wins, however it’s true that they are right there. You can call Rich optimistic if you want, but obviously we all hope he's correct.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 2:42 pm Someone should bookmark this thread to be reviewed next September.

I bookmarked this thread and set a reminder to post about about it once the Labour Day Classic has concluded. Will wrote: ↑Wed Dec 17, 2025 6:44 pmYou can call Rich optimistic if you want, but obviously we all hope he's correct.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 2:42 pm Someone should bookmark this thread to be reviewed next September.

Re: 2026 schedule
I usually focus on the schedule to see the scheduling and timings of the home games so I can pick which ones I wish to and can attend.
Since 2026 is my official "not one hard earned penny" boycott year, I matters not what day and time. I have my couch booked already for the ENTIRE season.
Not saying it won't be tough, because I love to attend in person as much as I can swing it, but in all good conscience I just can't support the utter fan contempt this mgmt team has shown.
If they manage to make the playoffs (and its a home game) maybe I'll blow off the dust from my wallet and buy a ticket. MAYBE.

I can accept the fan contempt simply because it's been going on since the Skydome days and I am used to it.
For me it's the rule changes. I had to do some serious drinking about whether I would renew my seasons, but my buddies still want to go to games next season so I renewed.
The "modernized" (the only metric that makes them modern is the fact they are more similar to the NFL) rules are going to bring in millions of new fans anyway, so it might be tough for you to get tickets.
