I'm not. He got manhandled there in the 2024 Grey Cup, and was pedestrian at best when he played last season. I've seen very little that gives me faith he can be as effective at tackle as he was at guard. Doxtater might be a better candidate to bump out to tackle.

Potentially huge. Now move Hunter back to LG, sign Dejon Allen to play one of the tackle spots and the o-line should look a lot better than it did last year.
Is Shepley going to get a shot to play OT for the Argos or will his passport limit him to OG (where he played in the CFL for the Riders) ?

And all of a sudden highest paid O-lineman in the league ? Not sure that's the brightest GMing move to shell out that kind of money for a guy who hasn't played much football lately and has basically only one year of CFL experience ?
Sorry but I’m not going to complain about a Canadian player getting well compensated to play in the CANADIAN Football League.

New O-line coach Picard = going to be interesting to see his influence and decisions, and the play of the unit as a whole.

IF he is told to follow GOB pencilling-in procedure and be forced to go with 2 import OTs (i'll bet that is the thinking, just because), that would leave, for the interior - Hunter, Shepley & Nicastro (the first 2 about the highest paid O-linemen in the league (?) - maybe a great trio; and that leaves a whole slew of former draft picks - Bosse, Dankwah, Doxtater, Vandal, Giffen, Coakes - to fight for the 2 depth jobs ? Nice to have lots of competition for TC and depth at all positions.

I’d play Hunter at guard, pretty good interior O-Line in the making!

Who's "complaining" ? I'm asking football & SMS (usually i have next to no interest in CFL salary gossip) questions. FA signing choices are of course limited by dollars to go around, no? Or is anything & everything the Argos do beyond question to you.

I'd love to see Shepley come back from his NFL experience and be the best O-lineman in the league - better than Chris Schultz & Pierre Vercheval put together; and get very well paid for it.

They identified a problem with the O-Line and aggressively made a move to correct it, good on them.

I would expect Dankwah to compete at tackle. As Paul suggests, Doxtater may end up competing at tackle as well.

To answer your previous question, it took a little more than a year for Hunter to become the highest paid OL in the league.

If he signed with the Argos, would that not make him the Sultan of Summer?
