Ergle had never played tackle in college; he was exclusively a centre or guard. Perhaps that is why the Argos signed imports Josh Donovan, Brandon Kemp and Phillip Wilder, all of whom play tackle. We`ll see how the backups progress in camp. If I were to guess I think that Bosse will have a tough time making the roster unless he improves a lot while Dankwah would have a shot at sticking if he is healthy.OV Argo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:23 pmOT was a big issue all of last season mostly, no; including trying a young import guy (Ergle ?) who was terrible, and Hunter went from very good guard to iffy OT; Bosse was listed as starter at OG in the Labour Day game; Doxtater started at OG a bunch of games; Vandal's & MacKellar's Argo O-line experience were at OG.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:01 pm Perhaps my memory is faulty but I am pretty sure Bosse's worst performance(s) last year were at tackle. And I think Dakwah's brief playing time was also at tackle.

Re: 2025-26 Off-Season Transactions
The team now has 8 Americans OL players. It can be safely assumed they will be competing for the 2 OT spots. Let's hope that there is some real talent in that group.
Re: 2025-26 Off-Season Transactions
Likely going to be 7 only need apply thinking: 3 interior O-line + 2 receivers on offence; Judge plus a Canadian (Kongbo, Shand, maybe Ojo finally plays some, maybe Pelley sticks around) in on the D-line at all times ?

I don't see Pelley returning. I am curious to see last years Global Draft pick DT Teone at TC. He was pretty disruptive at SDSU and Barker said watching his film makes him happy. I was hoping to see 4 Canadians on the Oline, but with Doxtater leaving, that does appear unlikely.

Wouldn't Pelley have been cut by now if the new staff had no interest in him? What could bump him is drafting a good DT talent who shines in TC; or , maybe Shand is looked at to play some DT reps ?

Dankwah started at RT Wk 7 (and got hurt).OV Argo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:23 pm OT was a big issue all of last season mostly, no; including trying a young import guy (Ergle ?) who was terrible, and Hunter went from very good guard to iffy OT; Bosse was listed as starter at OG in the Labour Day game; Doxtater started at OG a bunch of games; Vandal's & MacKellar's Argo O-line experience were at OG.
Bosse started RT wks 8-9-10-11-12, then started RG wks 13, 15, 16, 17. Backed up RT wk 18, started RG wks 19 and 20. So five starts at RT (plus one for Dankwah) and six starts at RG. Bosse did not endear himself to me at either position, but seemed frightfully out of his depth at RT.

Sorry OV, I don’t see Pelley listed on the roster. I thought he was granted Free Agency in February and remains unsigned. As for Shand, I can see him moving around in different scenarios.

Yes, I am pretty sure that Pelley is an unsigned free agent.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 1:05 pmOV Argo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 11:43 amgilthethrill wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:00 am

I thought he was terrible last season, big guy who couldn’t stop the run.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:43 pmYes, I am pretty sure that Pelley is an unsigned free agent.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 1:05 pm

Canadian LS Simon Chivas has announced his retirement from Professional Football. Also recently, the team has signed a trio (3) of Receivers. 2 being American born & trained. 1 being an NCAA potential deep threat from Lamar U & another who dominated semi pro football in the state of Michigan. The third & final acquisition is a Canadian who played for Maine U who went undrafted in the last years Canadian Amateur Draft.
