Disagree; if Elgersma has NFL as his main goal, he's better off playing in the UFL - where NFL super QB experts might look at some of the play; they have zero interest in CFL QBs now; plus Elgersma would have a hard time getting to play in the CFL anyways, just because of his passport.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Mon Feb 02, 2026 9:15 am They appear to be reloading not rebuilding. Hopefully Taylor Elgersma gets there by spring. If he goes the UFL route instead of CFL he needs to give his head a shake.

OV, I suggest you read Ravi's post on the UFL thread regarding Elgersma.OV Argo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2026 3:37 pmDisagree; if Elgersma has NFL as his main goal, he's better off playing in the UFL - where NFL super QB experts might look at some of the play; they have zero interest in CFL QBs now; plus Elgersma would have a hard time getting to play in the CFL anyways, just because of his passport.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Mon Feb 02, 2026 9:15 am They appear to be reloading not rebuilding. Already did; are you saying Elgersma is never going to be able to get a work permit to play down there? IF so, then it was a big mistake obviously, but surely he could just leave and report to the Bombers ? And again, I'd bet he has as good or better a chance to play down there than with the Bombers - who have signed 2 new big resume American QBs to go with their already experienced back-up (Wilson) = Elgersma is going to be at the bottom of that depth chart - just because of his passport and I don't give a rat'$ @$$ if Walters & O'Shea are the biggest flag waving Canadians in the land - they work in and accept the CFL "system".

Re: Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Great news. There are now 3 legit Canadian QBs in the Canadian Football League. If Elgersma puts a pre season together like he did in Green Bay, he should secure back up spot to Aurora's favorite son Zach Collaros. Taylor earned that final QB spot in Green Bay last year.ARGO57 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 9:15 pm Winnipeg signs Canadian QB Taylor Elgersma.

Re: Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Sounds like Adam Bighill is officially retiring. Classy thing to do by Bombers to sign him to one day contract.

Re: Winnipeg Blue Bombers
not many comments recently on the Bombers, so I will try one on.
After 10 games 5and5, but man they had the Elks on the ropes and let them off the hook. I know these Elks are very good, but they were having an off-nite, yet they still pulled it out.
Oliveira remains a stud, but the Bombers D seems weaker this year to me, but coach O is a winner, so who knows???

They are an odd team. They feel like a weaker 5-5 team than the Argos and also a team on the decline.TrueBlueGuy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2026 3:17 pm not many comments recently on the Bombers, so I will try one on.

Yeah, I'm not ranking them ahead of the Argos in power rankings for this week.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2026 3:48 pmThey are an odd team.
