This is very positive and great to see. A strength of Barkers that will reflect in replenishing the Argos depth of Canadian football talent, and overall football talent. Hopefully in a few years the organization can retain some of it versus always losing it to the NFL. But there is simply no competing with the never ending resources of that league.

Hodge has just posted his Mock Draft 2.0 Can't disagree with any of his choices for the Argos. Originally, I thought Henning should be Argo's selection at #2 but Cline is more pro ready and more likely to be a starter on day one. Hodge has the Argos taking a second receiver (Meiga) at #16. Perhaps a DB might be a better choice -Elad or Cromwell, in spite both being slightly injured at this time. . On the whole, if the Argos did select as Hodge has suggested, IMO, it would be a very productive draft for the team.

Hodge and the 3 Down staff may have a lot of connections to CFL insider types; and he may be bang-on or close to with his predictions. But, outside of landing Demontagnac , i do not like a whole bunch of his Argo draft thinking; but again, might be well tuned into Argo/ GOB thinking. 2 O-linemen drafted amongst top picks = the Argos need like a hole in the head this year; and the top pick is guy who was only starter a quarter of his time in college ball? - not very impressive IMO, as neither is the suggestion of D-lineman Marois who was not a starter at all in US college ball; but the GOBs do love their Canadian O-line depth and 3 Down reporters dutifully bleat about "special teamers", so maybe that's where the Argos go. I'd like to see them aim way higher than the likes of Hodge or his buddy JC with their condescending, GOB taught views of Canadian talent, think are good enough.

It's a tough one. Do you go need early? How big is the gap between reciever 1 to reciever 2? Is it bigger than the game between Olineman 1 and Olineman 7? Guard seems to be the deepest position in this draft.

You also might take a defensive end? Heavy rotation of Ojo, Kongbo and a draft pick?

What about your team? How do you see their draft playing out?

IMO, there are no consesnus type top 3 or 4 at any positions this CFL draft crop outside of the few guys who will likely draw NFL interest (Mesidor & Bailey at DE, Konga at DT, Taylor & Reece maybe at O-Line; maybe Elad at safety). There usually is more clear top 3 or so in CFL drafts ? So i think teams will have lots of choices/options when they consider a specific position. Receiver may be the most diverse group with different style/resume guys.

DE would be interesting, but if Kongbo is looked at to play reps, then maybe Ojo or Shand will be there in the rotation to play some reps as well (at least I sure hope Ojo gets a shot after that total snubbing last season); and I doubt any of the DEs this draft come in and displace any of the above 3 guys.

No, I forgot about you guys finally signing Shand.

We only have one Canadian LB on the roster, in Ryan Baker. Veresuk is trying the NFL. Priority wise.

LB
DT
DE
DB
OG
RB (fullback type)
OT

Makes sense (Baker is pretty solid and started some as a rookie but i doubt they see him as a starter again)

IMO, they should have their pick of all LBs still at #5 (the 2 top rated NCAA guys - Djabome or MacKenzie ); or could still get a good one next pick at #14 (like Justin Pace (Queens) )

I think they might go O-line early in a deep crop there - to help replace Woodmansey ?

Abbott has ranked the receivers for the upcoming draft. It is interesting some U sport receivers are ranked a little lower than I had expected. Kettyle (5th), Latendresse-Regimbald (7th), McBean (8th) and Sibley (10th). U Sport receivers have on occasion been ranked lower than one would expect---is this another case? Remember Schaffer-Baker wasn't even invited to the combine and was eventually drafted in the 4th round.
