Global Draft

Post by ArgoRavi »

The Argos have added two offensive linemen in the Global Draft - Jordan Spasojevic-Moko from the University of California and Australia and Fa'alili Fa'amoe from Wake Forest University and American Samoa.

Unfortunately, the latter has some baggage.

It was predicted that DT Wilfried Pene, who was with New England last year & did good at this years CFL Combine would be drafted by the Argos at #2. He went unselected. Has a Global ever gotten drafted after attending the CFL Combine?

Why did the jail keep letting him use the phone?

Given the high character players that the Argos took in the CFL draft, I would be shocked if the team management didn't look much closer into Spasojevic-Moko's character before they considered taking him.

With CFL teams only allowed to dress 2 Globals, with one usually a K/P, teams are drafting players that they don't expect to ever see. With Hansen
& the DT Teone that was drafted last year already on the roster with Haggarty they don't need any more Globals.

The league is doing their own vetting of this player, which they warned every team about before the Global draft. He will only be allowed to sign if the league okays it.

So, uh, why did the Argos select him with the knowledge that he may never he allowed to play?

Probably because the Global draft doesn't matter, and might be gone by this time next year.
