It would be good to get a win over Dinwiddie.

I think Ottawa is still the worst team in the league. You can improve your roster all you want, but quarterback matters.
Re: Toronto at Ottawa - June 20, 2026 - Game Thread
It's Jake Maier we will have to worry about on Saturday.
Re: Toronto at Ottawa - June 20, 2026 - Game Thread
Considering the Argos schedule, this feels like a must win.
Re: Toronto at Ottawa - June 20, 2026 - Game Thread
I was commenting on Angelo's point that quarterbacks matter, which it does. I probably should have added something along the lines that it is then surprising that Ottawa wouldn't go with the hot hand against the Argos.

Pretty obvious Dru Brown is not Dinwiddie’s guy.

Injury report is very sparse, it appears the team escaped Montreal healthy (I thought Kongbo went down late). Kelly goes up against Maier this weekend...CFL.CA writers are favoring Ottawa anyway.

Forecast calling for some rain again - got soaked last game vs. EE; lotsa Northsiders moved way up to be under the covered roof.
Hopefully the offensive brain-trust plays to the conditions - like a strong run game over dink & dunk short passes that get dropped by receivers due to wet ball. D needs to play better; Ottawa has some good receivers, but Maier is not going to pass all over the field for big gains - unless the D is real weak & dumb; be interesting to see If Dinwid would turn to Dru Brown if Maier is lousy. Kelly should be able to pass deep on the usually suspect (again) RedBlacks secondary.

When was the last time that we saw just a short injury list for the Argos?gilthethrill wrote: ↑Tue Jun 16, 2026 8:38 pm Injury report is very sparse, it appears the team escaped Montreal healthy (I thought Kongbo went down late).
