Randolph has been six-gamed grrrr.
Frustrating right? The team escapes Montreal after a hard fought game in good health only to lose a key player during practice.
Things could be much worse. We could be BC and we were back in 2014 when our receiving corps was similarly decimated resulting in an 8-10 season and out of the playoffs.
Hatcher was a game time decision, so might be back soon; not sure about Cottoy; and rookie mid round draft pick Nick Cenacle had a fantastic game, so maybe they give him starting time going forward; plus their first round draft pick receiver Demontagnac is on the IR and might be able to play soon ? Not sure they are hooped there but maybe.

It’s too early to tell but it sure looks like we blew it drafting Ulm instead of Cenacle, he’s a fine looking player.

It's far too early to draw such conclusions. Ulm, reportedly, had an excellent camp and didn't look out of place in the one preseason game he played.

Ulm didn’t look out of place but he didn’t look sensational like Cenacle did last night. It’s funny Cenacle was in the top 20 of most mock drafts so there must have been some other reason he fell as far as he did.
Reflecting on the Hamilton-BC game, it looks like if your defence can't get pressure on BL Mitchell, it's unlikely you are going to beat Hamilton. It will be interesting to see how the Argos defence does against Ottawa. The defensive line didn't look very good at pass rush last week.
I was most impressed by the Ticat O-line, good call IMO by Luke W to give player-of-game nod to the O-Line collectively. With protection like that, consistently, BLM will pile up the stats in 2026. He still has as good an arm as Kelly and T. Harris, IMO, Bo can still really zing it. However, as always , Bo is too much of a gunslinger IMO, throwing into coverage a lot, believing his guys will make-the-play for him. This has cost him over the years (for example, Grey Cup vs Argos in Ottawa in the snow, late endzone pick)
21-13 at the half.
Offensively for the most part the oline held up. Kelly however has taken some hard hits. They have run the ball more, which is good.
Defensively its hard to say. They have been good against the run. They got a sack when they only rushed 3, but have not been able to generate pressure very often with rushing 4. Chatfield who looked so good early on last year has been mostly invisible so far.
41-24. Its not often you can have 5 turnovers and come out even on the turnover battle.
The run defence was stellar, esp on the goal line stand in the 4th quarter. I don't think the Argos give up much loosing Priester and playing John, but John was hurt also. Hopefully it is a minor injury. For the most part it didn't look like there was a lot of pressure on the Ottawa QB, which will be a problem against the better QBs yet to come. They need an edge rusher who can get pressure.
Kelly was laser sharp in the first quarter, but lost his accuracy and perhaps his decision making as the game wore on, perhaps as a result of the hard hits he took in the first half.
Its a win
