Other than Saskatchewan, doesn't seem like his picks were costly. Am I wrong?
Not wrong at all. Argos also throw less hitch passes to the receivers than any other team. Most passes are down field, which makes his 70% completion percentage even the more impressive.
My opinion, Kelly will always have a target on his back, even from Argos fans. They are just looking for negative things to point to him for. None of us know what happens on any of the picks he throws. I know that on at least 5 of his picks, receivers just waited for the ball to get to them when a hard step back woould have prevented them.
Just for a fun fact, I will bring up that Tom Clements threw 35 TD’s and 30 picks in 1987….and won MOP.

If Matt Dunigan was still doing analysis on TSN, I think he would defend Kelly's interceptions, as he threw his fair share himself.

Vernon Adams has thrown 4 interceptions and 25 TDs....who would we rather have Argo fans?

Kelly does take a lot of crap from fans of all CFL teams but especially the media.
We can all agree there are varying reasons for the interceptions (bad decisions, bad routes and or miscommunication, poor pass protection) etc.
Whatever the reason it would be in the Argos best interest to minimize these errors (I’m sure they are attempting to do so) as there will come a time when it could bite them in the ass and cost them a big game.

It's good to know you hold Kelly in the same esteem as Clements, AV!

Tommy Clements was a great quarterback, and a helluva good cook, just like Mattie Dunigan.

It is what it is at this point -- just hope it doesn't bite the Argos in the butt in the post-season.
