1st quarter: Argos receive, 1st play is a run reasonable gain..2nd play, penalty for taking too much time…3rd play against a 3 man rush, Dukes holds the ball, rushes right, but no recivers in view on that side, so runs for a couple of yards and they kick it away
On defence, Priester grabs or hits QB helmet so 15 yard penalty..then a pass play with a missed tackle for 21 yards..Montrreal goes to 3rd and 2 at Argos31, missed FG for 1 point.
Argo offence on first down, screen pass against a 3 man rush hits receiver in the back so incomplete…..next play high snap, Dukes goes back and grabs ball, then with a couple of Alouettes in his face turns and goes further back for a big loss….next Montreal offence, another missed tackle but still a 3 and out
Next offensive possession, Argos get a good gain when the Alouettes miss a tackle, and get field goal…Commentators point out that in their last 28 possessions Argos have 2 touchdowns
At the end of the first quarter, Montreal QB seems to pull a hamstring and doesn’t come back

Nice drive. Dukes isn't shredding the Montreal D, but he's making plays without any big mistakes.

Happy to have been completely wrong on this one.

Nice win !!!

Ground game paying dividends. 20 pass attempts by Dukes vs. 26 run plays to the RBs (and not to mention Dukes' good scrambling) - and produces a win = this will be mind boggling to some same old CFL offensive "thinkers".

J. Grant is a superb return guy.

Defence played better.

Pretty well summed up, I really like how the Argos are using their running backs.

It wouldn't be right if Caleb Evans didn't serve up a pick-six against the Argos.

I must say I am surprised as I fully expected that this game would be a loss. So kudos to the Argos for a gutsy win.
Montreal did not play up to the level they have been playing at. The defence did not seem to have the same intensity they had in the first game against the Argos. The offence suffered when they lost Fajardo. And for some strange reason (hopefully someone who is knowledgeable can point out the reasons) Montreal didn’t seem to use their best offensive weapons (like Philpot and Spieker) much in the second half.
The Toronto defensive front, special teams, and the offensive line in the second half won this game for them.
Only two offensive turnovers though they had 3 fumbles. The defence bailed them out.
CFL teams won’t win many games passing for 120 yards (around the amt Dukes ended up with).
Onward to Hamilton.

The O has to show up this week, score some points but most of all keep the time of possession reasonable to help a D out that is still trying to figure things out.
Argos dominated time of possession tonight.

I thought while watching this game that this must be OV's dream game.
