Does anyone know what kind of responsibilities Drew Tate took on this year as “Offensive Assistant”? I never ever noticed him on the sidelines but there was some speculation he was being groomed by RD, in the football sense of course.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 11:04 pmI have similar concerns although making Dinwiddie GM also may be a way to ensure that he stays in Toronto for the long-term. He would need to find an offensive coordinator in that scenario though.primetime321 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 7:44 pmThat is good news given that Steve Simmons had questioned the return of Murphy is one of his stories, suggesting that Murphy could be a candidate for an opening in Calgary.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 7:58 pm Having Magri and/or Rosetti back would be incredible. In an interview after the celebration today Pinball did say that his assistant GM John Murphy is signed to a contract for next season.
The fact that the football operations department is pretty bare these days, indicates to me that maybe Dinwiddie will have some extra personnel duties. My concern with this scenario is that Dinwiddie's effectiveness as a head coach could be diminished much like Dave Dickenson in Calgary when he took on the GM role there.
