Just finished watching the game....so Hamilton has a procedure penalty the 2nd last play of the game. Instead of accepting the penalty, BC allows Hamilton to stay in FG range, which Leggio misses to end the game. Did I miss something there?
I questioned that as well, 100% should have accepted that penalty and moved Hamilton back.
A win is a win but the Lions and Rourke didn’t impress at all.
I was stunned to see Rourke finished with 370 passing yards.

He had a good 2nd half.

You would never know that Rourke had his struggles if you listened to Suitor.

Who is a worse Lions homer? Suitor or Farhan?

Farhan on his twitter recap said that Rourke did not play well, so I give him marks for honesty at least. Suitor was blaming everyone but Rourke on every missed offensive opportunity.

He looked rusty IMO; off-target some, and not helped by some bad drops. Still should have won by 4 TDs or so. And neither Rourke nor Buckaroo seem to get what Rourke could do with his feet/mobility - to rush for big yardage and/or first downs.
IF the Argos lose to Frosty at QB (completion % so far this season at 54.7 and he shows no mobility) - in any game Scotty lets him play - time to pack the Argo season in. Let's hope Scotty keeps playing him.

I am sure SM will keep playing him. He likely does not go off script and if he shows improvement this week vs a banged up Saskatchewan squad, we will see him start the CNE game. Having said that, Ford cooks up a mighty fine bird when he plays the Argos. SM would be doing his team a disservice if he doesn't work him into the game.

There are also, sadly, the intangibles that the Tiger-Cats somehow seem to magically conjure up whenever the Labour Day Classic rolls around.

Lions on a real heater right now. I'll say they surprise everyone and end up finishing 2nd in the West by the time the season is done. Riders losing some steam. I think the Lions had a horrendous start to the season back in 2011 as well but pulled together and won the Grey Cup, so the stars might be aligning.

Every team has to deal with injuries, but the Riders are missing their staring RB (AJO) one of their best receivers (KSB) and 2 of the best D secondary players in the league in Milligan & Campbell = that's 4 very key players (and Emilus was just out 3 games and seemed to get nicked again tonight) Not sure if any of these guys can return down the stretch but it sure would help.
BC coming on, but I'm not convinced they are that good; they have Ottawa next, but then back to back vs. the Als might say something.
