Ottawa held Collaros to <50% passing on the evening and he seemed under relentless pressure throughout the game. I didn't stay up to watch the ending after the lightning delay, however I see that, nonetheless, Winnipeg almost pulled it out.
In the meantime, that was quite the storm yesterday. When the lightning delay started in Ottawa, the storm front was large enough and was on a SW-NE axis that the same storm that caused the lightning delay caused rain in the GTA.
Well in the last 2 minutes Collaros made a good throw to Schoen, but Ottawa's West made a stunning leap to block the pass. I agree with what others have said, the commentators were focussing too much on Winnipeg and what they used to be instead of giving Ottawa credit for a great game. They deserved it, especially when you consider the poor seasons they have had the last couple of season. I remember sport commentators mentioning it last season (e.g. how old the team is), but the Winnipeg team is really looking their age this age this season and I don't think they will dominate the way they have in the last few seasons.

With this victory by Ottawa, it should be noted that the east is now 3-1 vs the west.
Nice going Hamilton. You ruin everything.
They ruined what should have been a 7-1 record in my prediction pool by blowing that game to the Riders.

Me too. 3-1 each week for me, because I picked against the Argos last week. Good thing I took them vs the spread.

The two games I have gotten wrong are the Montreal/Winnipeg game and last night's in Hamilton.

The Bombers are now 5-6 and are in a playoff spot in the West. This is in spite of mediocre play by Collaros and a rash of injuries.
Their defense did look human yesterday for the first time in weeks, though. They have an opportunity to leapfrog Saskatchewan now.

The whole west stinks. They are racking up wins against Hamilton and each other.

There is no real powerhouse team in the West this year.
BC might get there if Rourke regains his old form, but they are still saddled with a very iffy D at times and might have to win shoot-outs. Their coaching staff - HC, OC, DC - are not the brightest IMO and don't get diversity or adjustments.
The Riders have a solid D and potential/talent on offence, but Mueller as OC needs to learn lots yet.
Bummers - Collaros is faded for sure IMO, but still maybe capable of a big game or two; their D is decent at best
The Stumps with dullard Dickenson are going nowhere; and even with Tre Ford playing well, the EE have a weak defence with holes galore.
I think it will be BC vs. the Riders for the West final; unless Collaros gets on fire for a play-off game plus they ride Oilveira and a run game.
