Since 2026 is my official "not one hard earned penny" boycott year, I matters not what day and time. I have my couch booked already for the ENTIRE season.

Not saying it won't be tough, because I love to attend in person as much as I can swing it, but in all good conscience I just can't support the utter fan contempt this mgmt team has shown.

If they manage to make the playoffs (and its a home game) maybe I'll blow off the dust from my wallet and buy a ticket. MAYBE.
Can't really blame you.

I can accept the fan contempt simply because it's been going on since the Skydome days and I am used to it.

For me it's the rule changes. I had to do some serious drinking about whether I would renew my seasons, but my buddies still want to go to games next season so I renewed.

The "modernized" (the only metric that makes them modern is the fact they are more similar to the NFL) rules are going to bring in millions of new fans anyway, so it might be tough for you to get tickets.
What? Luke Tostitos Willson's softball "interview" with Stewart Johnston didn't convince you?

Honestly, I love two of the three changes taking effect next season - and can live with the change to the rouge although it's not my preference - but I don't think anyone really knows what the effect of the 2027 field dimension changes will be.

I wouldn't even call it a softball interview. I would describe it more as shameless ball-cupping.

paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 13, 2025 9:45 am Looking at the schedule closely, 6-6 after 12 games looks extremely daunting, if not downright unlikely. Obviously, we don't know which free agents will move around the league this offseason, which new players Toronto and others will recruit, and what injuries will occur, and we know that in this league it's possible to go quickly from bottom to top. But our first 12 games include these ones on the road:

Mtl
Ott
Ssk
Cal
Wpg
Ham
BC
Edm
Ssk
Ham (Labour Day)

We'd need to win four of those, plus home games against Cal and Ham, to be 6-6. Ott and Edm should be beatable, based on this year's rosters, but every other team was in the playoffs, three of those games are against the Grey Cup combatants and two of them are in Hamilton, which is always a challenge to win in. IMO 6-6 is an absolute best-case scenario, and I would not bet on that happening at this point.
It's a good thing (for me) that I didn't bet although I at least was close to correct on the path to 6-and-6. Lost to Edm but unexpectedly won in Sask.

Argos should pin their ears back and go for first place.
I dont care who on the Argos is injured this week, they are beating Ottawa. Montreal is losing in BC this week with 10 pm ET start and injuries. Als have only won once in BC last 25 years.
Toronto play and will beat Montreal at home last game of season.

Argos play 4 of last 6 at home. Argos get Ottawa twice, Edmonton, BC, Winnipeg and Montreal.
Montreal play only 2 of last 6 at home. Als get BC, Winnipeg, Saskatchewan twice, Hamilton, and Toronto.
If Argos run table, Montreal go 2-4, with Toronto beating Montreal by more than 7, Toronto gets first.
Far fetched, but it would make a great end to season with every game mattering.
Love to see it.
