Argo draft picks and NFL roster chances

2023 pick - receiver Jared Wayne - was with Houston, but can't find his name on their roster now and have not seen him record a stat in the 2 ex. games there this seaason. He would make a very interesting Argo signing IMO.

DE Luiji Vilain is with the Panthers and had a couple of tackles this past ex. game. Love to see what this guy might be able to bring to help the Argo pass rush, but I'd bet on his sticking in the NFL.

O-lineman Sage Doxtater - went from getting cut in the NFL to signing with St. Louis in the UFL = not sure if he's playing there ?

Wayne was cut with an injury settlement so depending on his injury and interest from other teams then maybe there is a chance of coming north soon.

Wayne was waived by the team with an injury designation Monday and he will now stick around Houston on the IR. The wide receiver is now set to miss the entirety of the 2024 campaign while nursing his undisclosed injury.

Interersting, thanks. Not sure he would be even close to making this Argo roster though; Wayne & Vilain, OTOH, might be instant impact players, perhaps.

Speaking of ex-CFLers in the NFL: veteran DB Tev. Campbell cut by Jags after being in the NFL for several seasons - have to think he might help a number of CFL teams (including the Argos) IF he has any interest in returning to the CFL

NFL cuts coming this week - be interesting to see if Matt Betts will make Detroit - I'll bet he gets cut

It would be great if he came north now but I won't hold my breath on that. I suspect that he will wait out this NFL season to see if anything opens up there.
