I was stunned to see Rourke finished with 370 passing yards.ARGO57 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2026 8:29 amI questioned that as well, 100% should have accepted that penalty and moved Hamilton back.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Sun Aug 09, 2026 10:32 pm Just finished watching the game....so Hamilton has a procedure penalty the 2nd last play of the game. Instead of accepting the penalty, BC allows Hamilton to stay in FG range, which Leggio misses to end the game. Did I miss something there?
A win is a win but the Lions and Rourke didn’t impress at all.

He had a good 2nd half.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2026 9:01 am I was stunned to see Rourke finished with 370 passing yards.
Re: BC Lions
Farhan on his twitter recap said that Rourke did not play well, so I give him marks for honesty at least. Suitor was blaming everyone but Rourke on every missed offensive opportunity.

He looked rusty IMO; off-target some, and not helped by some bad drops. Still should have won by 4 TDs or so. And neither Rourke nor Buckaroo seem to get what Rourke could do with his feet/mobility - to rush for big yardage and/or first downs.
IF the Argos lose to Frosty at QB (completion % so far this season at 54.7 and he shows no mobility) - in any game Scotty lets him play - time to pack the Argo season in. Let's hope Scotty keeps playing him.

Re: BC Lions
I am sure SM will keep playing him. He likely does not go off script and if he shows improvement this week vs a banged up Saskatchewan squad, we will see him start the CNE game. Having said that, Ford cooks up a mighty fine bird when he plays the Argos. SM would be doing his team a disservice if he doesn't work him into the game.OV Argo wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2026 11:32 pmgilthethrill wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2026 9:01 amI was stunned to see Rourke finished with 370 passing yards.

There are also, sadly, the intangibles that the Tiger-Cats somehow seem to magically conjure up whenever the Labour Day Classic rolls around.

Lions on a real heater right now. I'll say they surprise everyone and end up finishing 2nd in the West by the time the season is done. Riders losing some steam. I think the Lions had a horrendous start to the season back in 2011 as well but pulled together and won the Grey Cup, so the stars might be aligning.
Re: BC Lions
Every team has to deal with injuries, but the Riders are missing their staring RB (AJO) one of their best receivers (KSB) and 2 of the best D secondary players in the league in Milligan & Campbell = that's 4 very key players (and Emilus was just out 3 games and seemed to get nicked again tonight) Not sure if any of these guys can return down the stretch but it sure would help.argosrule1524 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2026 10:41 pm Lions on a real heater right now. BC coming on, but I'm not convinced they are that good; they have Ottawa next, but then back to back vs. the Als might say something.
