With the obvious exception of #12, we're relatively healthy.

Bombers' Nic Demski having a banged up ankle could be big news. I was expecting him to be a key to their plan for Sunday.
Winnipeg has great coaching and Argos need to be prepared for the unexpected. If you think they are going to try to run the ball a ton (as the Roughriders did at the beginning in the West Final), they throw a lot. If you try to guard against the long ball, and Collaros has time, they can pick you apart underneath. The schemes both coaching groups come up with on both sides of the ball are going to critical, IMO.

I find that the Bombers are not that unpredictable. They are very much of a team that takes advantage of momentum on both sides of the ball. They will throw the ball quite a lot at the beginning but will always revert to the run at some point. Typically they will use the run to grind teams down in the second half to break their will. Defensively, they will try to get offenses to become one dimensional.

Strong line play and changing things up both offensively and defensively are going to be paramount for the Argos on Sunday as that’s the best way to counteract them.

It was like this in 2022 as well. The section of Mosaic where I sat (mid-field, highest level) had TONS of empty seats. The six row directly in front of me were empty, and my own row had a gap of at least five or six seats to the next attendees. The league is not have a lot of luck selling the less attractive seats; IMO they have overpriced them.

IMO a lot of people, and bettors, are overrating the Bombers and underrating the Argos. Some recency bias for the latter -- yes, Wpg looked great last week, but let's remember they were one miraculous and extremely short-lived gust of wind away from likely having to play that game on the road instead of the friendly confines of Princess Auto. They looked rather ordinary a few weeks earlier at home against the Argos.

The fact Arbuckle has replaced Kelly seems to have convinced almost everyone that Toronto is a huge underdog and will be fortunate to have any offensive success at all. I'm convinced Arbuckle is going to surprise folks with his poise, accuracy and decision-making.

Not sure Marcus Crandell ever ascended to "legend" status.
I'm trying to generate hype here and you come at with me a 23 year old reference.

What were your thoughts at the time when the Burnside rules were first adopted?

Greedy, gouge GC ticket prices (even all the furthest / weakest seats) have been the norm for some time, no ?

A smart guy in charge of ticket sales would know better IMO; make thousands of harder to sell tickets (especially when it's not a hosting team playing) way cheaper; the big CFL die-hards will gladly play for the higher priced tickets.

And this is what pisses off people that buy their tickets early. Guaranteed they will be having a fire sale for the remaining tickets for $50-100 come this weekend.

Given that that didn't seem to happen in Regina two years ago, I'd be surprised. Obviously the Lions can do whatever they want but I doubt this becomes another 1996 Tim Hortons giveaway scenario.

It would be a bad move to undersell tickets at the last minute. Why would anyone in the future buy them early, knowing they will be heavily discounted later on. Even though this is the "national football championship", the market seems to be saying that the overall price for Grey Cup is too high. On the other hand, while it might make more sense if you wanted fill the house with bodies to lower the prices in general, maybe at the higher prices, their net revenue is better even with the empty seats. Because in a cash strapped league, money talks. Who knows the right answer, leave that to the bean counters. It just looks like s*&t on TV with both national and international broadcasting of the game.

I just don't get the attitude of a big CFL fan & supporter who would pay good or big buck$ for GC tickets, to turn around and whine IF the host team has to reduce prices in order to hopefully sell-out the game. What - are u jealous that somebody got into the game for cheaper than you? Nobody forced you to pay big buck$ and buy an early ticket, so wait like others for a sale reduction if that's your attitude. Would you begrudge the league or host for having ticket give-aways to worthwhile charities ?

Suck-it up buttercup and stick with just supporting the best thing for the league - even if just for the one biggest game.
