Canadian Quarterbacks in the 2025 CFL Draft

Canadian Quarterbacks on Scouting Bureau list:

1 (1) Kurtis Rourke QB Indiana Oakville, Ont.
20 (–) Taylor Elgersma QB Wilfrid Laurier London, Ont.

As OV Argo would say, the CFL GOB are not impressed by Elgersma.

??? - I would say the fact he got on their list - even at #20 - would mean he has impressed some of them.

It's a number of others - like Senecal, Desjardins, Tachinksi - who could easily be on a top 20 list for a football league that values up and coming young QB (obviously the most important position) talent - like the NFL does.

Waiting now for the Combine Lists. I suspect Elgersma, Desjardins, Tachinski to main combine, Hall, Hillock to Waterloo Combine. Maybe Senecal is deferring to return to Montreal to get revenge on Laval?

I thought that Desjardins is returning to Laval to do his MBA for his last year of eligibility? As for Senecal, I wouldn't be surprised to see Macoccia take him in the draft since was the ex-Carabins coach.

Yes Desjardins is going back for his 5th year but I also understand he's going to the main combine.

Wowzers - very impressive = good for Taylor.

He must have really impressed at those US college ball events; the chance that it's based on NFL scouts viewing his tape from Laurier is very slim IMO.

I don't think they are looking much at his USports gameplay. They like his "measurables." Hell, has he even played a real game down there over the past month or two or were those just glorified scrimmages that he participated in? The Senior Bowl at least will include real game action but NFL scouts are often much more concerned about those "measurables" than anything else.
