Players like Dankwah and Doxtater have pro experience. They're not fresh out of college. Let's see what they can do.AngeloV wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 7:07 pmHunter has struggled this year, but moving from left side to right is not an easy transition. Difficult footwork adjustment. I’m sure he would eventually get used to it, but I am excited to see Dankwah play.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 5:59 pmAfter a bye week its good to see some reinforcements coming. Losing Hunter arguably their best O-Lineman will be tough to overcome, much like losing your entire D-Line.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 3:46 pm McMahon, McManis and Parish are AVAILABLE. Hit by a car while riding a stupid scooter. This season already seems lost.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 1:11 pm Ryan Hunter hurt his shoulder during bye week and will be out for a while, according to Scianitti. Guess Ergle will fill, and an INT d-lineman will have to sit.
Our once-vaunted o-line now consists of one star veteran, one guy who has less than a year's experience and three rookies. Gonna be a challenge keeping our QBs upright and opening holes for our backs.

This information was discovered by the veteran reporter Simoni Lawrence asking the question. That's not a joke. Simoni Lawrence! The practice week is over and we are only now finding out why the leagues MOL who plays in the biggest media market in the country is out, and it was by a play by play radio guy for Hamilton. Of course all of us fans wanted to know the moment we heard about him being injured during the bye.Stevoman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 12:48 amHit by a car while riding a stupid scooter. This was a bad attempt at humor on my part. "2026". I sure as hell hope I'm wrong. And i hope he's playing before this years CNE game on August 23. I really want to see Rourke and Kelly match up. It has never happened.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 9:22 pmWhere did you read that?Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 5:56 pmKelly will be available for the CNE game in 2026 according to Matthew Scianitti.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 3:46 pm McMahon, McManis and Parish are AVAILABLE. Lawrence also asked Scianitti if Hunter came to camp way lighter than normal. No reply. But adds to the speculation earlier about who Dinwiddie was complaining about a few wks ago.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 5:58 amThis information was discovered by the veteran reporter Simoni Lawrence asking the question. Great questions by Lawrence. And he is asking a reporter (Scianitti). But its funny someone has to ask the reporter for the information. I guess Scianitti would have reported the information at the game in Montreal assuming he's working it.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 6:07 amLawrence also asked Scianitti if Hunter came to camp way lighter than normal. To the question itself. The O-Line has not played well this year. It has been arguably the best O-Line for the last couple of years. It was hit with only one change albeit a big piece, but alot of other very good depth was there and added. This was not supposed to be an area of concern. Dinwiddie is clearly frustrated by this just like the fans. Someone showed up lighter, why?, what are the reasons. Hunter has been nothing but exemplary since he arrived here. He has not been called out by name, but Dinwiddies reply or lack thereof is kind of throwing him under the bus.
A giant reset button on this season would be nice right about now. This Montreal game looms large into how the rest of the year may go. Let's see how they respond.

Let’s see how the next 3 games play out, this feels like one of those seasons where nothing seems to go right.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 6:47 amGreat questions by Lawrence. The Dejon Allen trade looks even more dubious considering the performance of the OL so far.

The line has actually undergone significant changes since the Grey Cup. Only two of the five current starters also started that game (and it was only one of the five at the start of this season, with Ciraco having replaced Nicastro at centre). The five starters in the GC were Hunter-Giffen-Nicastro-Vandal-Allen. Now it's Moore-Doxtater-Nicastro-Vandal-Dankwah (replacing Hunter).Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 6:47 am The O-Line has not played well this year. The tinkering actually began long before the Grey Cup, with Hunter shifting from guard to left tackle to replace Cage, and Vandal replacing MacKellar late last season. What had been the best, and most stable, o-line in the league turned into a bit of a revolving door. I assumed Vandal was simply better than MacKellar (who was never all that impressive IMO). But moving Hunter twice might not have had made as much sense as it seemed at the time. And trading Allen to save money was penny-wise and pound-foolish.

Yes, it is a hodge-podge now. Without the injuries to Giffen and now Hunter the bodies were the same initially except for Allen. But we're light years away. Trading Allen looks like a poor decision. As does Trading Orimolade when they knew they were going to get picked apart on their D-Line. And now they could have spent $200K if they had 6 gamed Kelly. It's not savings, its new spend but within salary cap and I think Pinball would get the okay from Pelley to use it to keep their players.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 7:53 amThe line has actually undergone significant changes since the Grey Cup.
