The mid-1970s, before Ex Stadium was ruined on behalf of the Blue Jays. Until baseball season ended, Argos had to do most of their practising at a nearby public field.
Good gravy! 1975 probably. They were a big deal then too, and it didn't matter. Well whenever they have an owner that cares about them again I hope they name their field house after John Candy.

That’s just ridiculous. Pedestrians get hit crossing the street. Should the players not be allowed to walk on the street too?
I’m willing to bet (maybe with Shawn Lemon) more people get injured in a car daily than on a scooter.
Yeah, maybe we should let them take a hang glider to practice since so few people get hurt hang gliding. Comparative risk, anyone?
Keep piling up the ridiculous statements there Rich.

Imagine the marketing possibilities looking up into the sky seeing a hang glider with the boat logo cruising into Lamport Stadium for practice, I like it Rich!
Great thinking, 57! Lets add a speaker blaring the Argo Fight Song all over town and we really got something!

It does seem we are getting a lot of payback from the football gods this year for the joys of 2017, '22 and '24.)
For me Paul I thought those years collectively were the football gods finally rewarding us for all those many many seasons of Argo mediocrity and deep disappointment. When I think of last 60 or so seasons, I think on balance the football gods still owe us ;-)

Back on topic, I see a huge boost from Parrish, McManus and McMahon coming back, the D gets to a rusty Alexander, and we squeak out a close one.

It is Toronto, I’m sure they have a bylaw against loud music or anyone having some fun.

I’ve suffered through many more mediocre to horrendous seasons than great seasons in my lifetime, we have been spoiled the last few years but are sure getting a strong dose of reality so far in 2025.

I don't think the football gods owe us. Yes, the team has definitely had some rough times over the decades. However, we've been victorious the last eight times we've been in the Grey Cup, which is an incredible accomplishment. You might even say we've been somewhat spoiled in recent times. Would your reaction to Hunter's injury be any different if we were 4-1 instead of 1-4?

I am pretty sure that Dinwiddie's record coming off a bye week is quite good. He will have this team ready to play tonight.

Difference tonight is that the opponent is also coming off a bye week. We can't even benefit from that.
