I'd like to see Duggan as short yardage QB if the Argos don't decide to run Brown out of Pistol Formation. As for Kelly not even practicing after he did last week, I'm confused to say the least.

Given the QB situation and Kelly's uncertain status, why did this team not have a 4th and even 5th QB on the PR this season? Rather have a few more back-up linebackers to make 10 on total on the roster? Surely there is an American QB - even another Div III or NAIA guy - sitting around somewhere who would jump at the chance for a pro try-out. And after TC and 15 weeks or so with the team, maybe the guy shows a lot of talent or learning skills and could be a future roster prospect or even a diamond ready to shine with some emergency playing time. And i don't buy the "only so many reps available in practice" to evaluate talent shtick- sorry. Real talent shines thru and smart coaches will see it.

Roster management in the CFL is often a joke steeped in myopia, just IMO. Lack of RB talent an issue this year as well, and a guy with actual Canadian ball safety experience may have helped lots too.

It is looking like Doege will start against the Alouettes on Friday.

:( :o  :?
It would be good to get some clarity on Kelly at this point. Yes it was bad leg break. 10 months ago. He has been practicing since training camp and rehabbing for the last 8 months. What is it that's going on. On and off 1 game, 6 game lists. This is the franchise player.

If the goal is to totally confuse fans about the QB situation, they are succeeding.

It seems pretty clear there must be things going on behind the scenes that we don't know about (and probably never will). This has been an enigma wrapped in a mystery for months now.

Kelly is not on today's injury report, so he has to be going back on the six.

The Argos are going to rally around Jarret Doege and they're going to play good football.

The ever changing timeline has not been helpful for fans, that's for sure.
