Who knows---could one or more be future starters? It looks as if Vandal and Ciraco has lost out to Richards and Bosse as potential starters--a bit of a surprise. Glad to see Horn and Duggan getting some playing time but would have preferred Doege not to have been the starting QB. Will be an interesting game with all the new faces.
IMO Ciraco won't be back next season, and I highly doubt Richards will. Vandal and Bosse are undoubtedly coming back. IMO Vandal might return to a starting role next year but needs to be better than he was this year. Bosse needs to be way better than he was to be in the mix for serious playing time next season.

How did the Americans first/preferred style work out for you with the Argo D this year ?
This is a point that hasn't really been discussed here. In Dinwiddie's first four seasons, he and the coaches seemed committed to giving playing time, beyond specials, to a lot of NAT "backups." This year's staff did not do that. Was it a change in philosophy (perhaps tied to some new coaches coming in on defence)? Or lack of faith in the quality of the NAT depth guys? Perhaps a bit of both.
I'd suspect Shivers & Greg Marshall were key drivers there.

Ryder Varga had a very good season playing inside LB for BC last season; and they trade away a top notch OT in Allen, and Varga ends up playing zero reps on D; but Darkangleo - at the same position - rates tons of reps ?

A first round draft pick - and known pass rush force in college ball + very athletic Combine tester - in Ojo, rates zero reps on D; but Parish gets tons of reps at the same position? Did the Argos have a dominant pass rush this season, but I just didn't notice ?

And the Argos bad season at RB - either thru poor roster decisions, or injury or lack of talent - was not going to be helped at all by maybe giving a Canadian back a shot - since they had zero of those on the roster (a powerful U Sports RB in Zorn gets drafted but GOB myopia switched to fullback in TC, and then outright cut - might have been nice to have the option of giving him a try to help the position - BTW how did that Adeboboye guy do in Ottawa? - i thought he looked Ok as an Argo RB)

Not that I'm at all surprised by any of this. Think of where the CFL (er, XCFL) could be headed.

Argonauts.ca says 8, 8, 7, 8, 8, 8 for the first six games and 9 for every game since. Averages out to 8.6 including the final game.

We never saw the projected d-line at the beginning of camp due to injuries. Do you even follow the team or is your only purpose in life looking for opportunities to make the same half dozen critical posts you've been making for decades about a league you claim to like?

Do you ever actually watch CFL games or do you and your little clique just go by what CFL depth charts show? I'll go with evidence I see from the football field; sorry bout that though. IF you had any clue about Canadian talent and who is getting to see the field for the various teams there, it might be worth a discussion, but you ain't capable. Who are these 9 Canadian starters "ever since" ? - u including Pelley cause he plays well under half the snaps in the game at DT ? = ok then Just FYI - a real "starter" would be a player who plays a big majority of reps on the field, and not a guy who is listed as a "starter" on CFL depth charts so they can otherwise play with their little DA or designated Canadian roster moves . Other teams sub in Canadian players at various positions on D way more than the Argos have this year; little or else zero for the likes of Cassar, Varga, Ojo and Blackburn became a write-off too.

Your defender of the CFL GOB / same old faith schtick is as boring and dumb as ever; thanks for coming out though.

I’d love to know just how much you have seen these Canadian players pre draft to come up with your “expert” analysis. Personally, I don’t think you’ve seen enough to give a reliable evaluation. But you know more than scouts who see all the film of the 24 cam, and always rely on your horribly boring same old, same old GOB comments to defend your opinions.
Same comment on every forum you post on, and you are laughed at as much on the others as you are here.

I don't believe Vandal practised all week due to injury so that's why he isn't starting this week.

Unable to address actual on-field CFL evidence; but gonna trot out the good old "conspiracy" theory. Not amazing really; just so pathetic & predictable. There's been a huge CFL conspiracy at work against Canadian trained QBs for decades now ? - is that what you'd say to laugh off real evidence when the lack of CFL opportunity for those QBs is brought up?; of course there must be these CFL conspiracy nut-cases out there? - helps you to dismiss real football evidence - i guess that makes you comfortable there- oh say can't you see.

BTW - do you hate Canadian football and Canadian football talent ? I think you really must.

But no doubt CFL listed depth charts are 100% accurate.

I thought there were some positives out of the final week of Argos' practices. Chad Kelly practised in a limited fashion in all three practices. I can't imagine that he won't be ready to go by training camp in 2026. Chop Williams practised fully all three days this week so he too should be good to go in 2026. Finally, Davaris Daniels went limited in the first two practice days of the week. I don't know if the Argos will bring him back, but there's reason to believe he will be ready for 2026.
