Interesting Analysis of Receivers

Have a look at what Cody compiled. Basic receiving stats don't necessarily tell the entire story. The Argos had an interesting mix of receivers this past season. Coxie was definitely a player that they missed over the final half of the season.

Re: Interesting Analysis of Receivers
It's always interesting to look at the analytics. Based upon the interpretation and weighting of what was deemed "valuable", Makai Polk and Kevin Mital were not as productive as their peers.
I like the Argos receiving corps. And think it is as good as any regardless of passports etc

Mital is still developing. He made great strides in 2025 and I have no doubt that he only scratched the surface. Can he ultimately become more like a Demski-type?Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:52 am It's always interesting to look at the analytics. Having Coxie and, especially, Kelly back will help Polk's production considerably.

With Kelly hopefully back healthy and ready to go in week one and Coxie, Polk, Brissett, Mital, Herslow, Ungerer, and hopefully Daniels back (I'd like to see his career end on his terms) as depth and veteran leadership this unit will enter the season under the radar but full of massive potential. 4 receivers could cross 1,000 yds - Coxie, Polk, Mital and Brissett and Kelly can be a 5,000 yard QB. Would love to bring back Kadeem Carey for training camp as well and give him sn opportunity to win his job back.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 1:59 pmMital is still developing. Will be nice to see Miller put his own stamp on the both the offensive system and in game play calling, having said that it wouldn’t shock me to see them move on from Daniels, perhaps he would make a good receivers coach someday?Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 2:34 pmWith Kelly hopefully back healthy and ready to go in week one and Coxie, Polk, Brissett, Mital, Herslow, Ungerer, and hopefully Daniels back (I'd like to see his career end on his terms) as depth and veteran leadership this unit will enter the season under the radar but full of massive potential. 4 receivers could cross 1,000 yds - Coxie, Polk, Mital and Brissett and Kelly can be a 5,000 yard QB. Re: Interesting Analysis of Receivers
I don't know if Carey is the answer, didn't he get injured?, but I think it was evident that the Argos needed a bigger back. A bruiser type rather than a shifty RB as their everydown back.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 2:34 pmWith Kelly hopefully back healthy and ready to go in week one and Coxie, Polk, Brissett, Mital, Herslow, Ungerer, and hopefully Daniels back (I'd like to see his career end on his terms) as depth and veteran leadership this unit will enter the season under the radar but full of massive potential. 4 receivers could cross 1,000 yds - Coxie, Polk, Mital and Brissett and Kelly can be a 5,000 yard QB. Re: Interesting Analysis of Receivers
As much as I like Daniels, I think the time is probably right for the Argos to move on from him. He is 33 and coming off of an injury-plagued season.ARGO57 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 2:40 pmWill be nice to see Miller put his own stamp on the both the offensive system and in game play calling, having said that it wouldn’t shock me to see them move on from Daniels, perhaps he would make a good receivers coach someday?Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 2:34 pmWith Kelly hopefully back healthy and ready to go in week one and Coxie, Polk, Brissett, Mital, Herslow, Ungerer, and hopefully Daniels back (I'd like to see his career end on his terms) as depth and veteran leadership this unit will enter the season under the radar but full of massive potential. 4 receivers could cross 1,000 yds - Coxie, Polk, Mital and Brissett and Kelly can be a 5,000 yard QB. Re: Interesting Analysis of Receivers
With Coxie, Polk, Herslow, Mital, and hopefully Brissett returning, Daniels has fallen to far down the depth chart to warrant a vet salary. Much like Eric Rogers time here, one year it’s all over, that’s pro ball.ArgoRavi wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:18 pmAs much as I like Daniels, I think the time is probably right for the Argos to move on from him. Re: Interesting Analysis of Receivers
I think that last season showed that McMahon as good as he is, isn't built to be an every down back. Hopefully Miyan Williams can bounce back from injury to at least compete for a starting job in camp. With the exception of William Stanback, all of the other free agents have been resigned (or about to be in AJ Ouellette) so other backs will have to be recruited down south. There are a couple who are very interesting on their neg listings, Damien Martinez and Cody Schrader, who is very similar to AJ Ouellette. Both were recently signed to NFL practice rosters but that might change in the off-season.ArgoGabe22 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 8:30 pmI don't know if Carey is the answer, didn't he get injured?, but I think it was evident that the Argos needed a bigger back. Has Greg Bell re-signed with Hamilton? I'd be interested in seeing him in camp here.primetime321 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 02, 2026 6:12 pm
