This should probably have its own thread. Listening to the end-of-season interviews/scrums, it seems evident that Arbuckle is not signed for 2026. Pinball said it is the team's desire to bring him back, but Arbuckle sounded interested in being a starting QB. I think the chances of him returning are low, given that three or four other teams (Wpg, Ott, Edm and psbly Sask, in my estimation) might be interested in a guy who performed as well as he did despite no running game and a porous offensive line.

Nick, and all of the other four QBs are under contract for 2026.

I'm writing a story as we speak that will define who is under contract and who is a pending FA in each group.

The only way Nick Arbuckle should be playing on another team next year is via trade for an all-star at a position of need. You need 2 QBs to get to and win a Grey Cup. Ask the Argos of 2022 and 2024.
